External Link Checker module version 1.0.0 rev. 080326 is released.

Sitecore versions: tested with Sitecore CMS V5.3.1 rev.071114

Changes:

1. Fixed: Media links in Rich Text fields like "~/media/Images/text.ashx" might be considered as "http://~/media/Images/text.ashx" and therefore might be counted as a broken link. A link in a Rich Text field like "t=red" might be considered as "http:\\t=red" and therefore might also be counted as a broken link.

2.  Known Issues

This section contains known issues for the current release of the module.

• Processes ‘news’ links incorrectly. 'News' links are always reported as broken.

• Refers to the last version of an item which contains a broken link, but the link itself may be in any version.

• Raises an exception when publishing to external publishing target (database from different Sitecore instance).

  Workaround: turn it off (remove item:saved event handler)

  This issue means incompatibility with classic Staging architecture.
